This beautiful coffee comes from the Ikizere Women group, made up of 10 single mothers, many of whom are widowed and face the difficult task of navigating Rwandese society that still struggles with much patriarchal discrimination. It brings together women with similar backgrounds so that they can connect on the basis of their shared experience and hopefully create a sense of community that assist them in their daily lives. 
Baho company, owner of the washing station, pays the farmers up to 80% above the NAEB's national farmgate rate, ensuring Rwandese farmers see the fruit of their labour.
