Peaberry Natural - Barbosa family

Here’s another banger from the Barbosa family to tie of the end of summer bringing fruitiness and tropical sun in a cup.  This is a Peaberry from the variety Yellow Catuai. What is a peaberry? A Peaberry is a mutation or natural occurring variation of coffee. It happens when the coffee cherry forms 1 round seed inside it’s flesh as opposed to 2 flat sided seeds that typically grow side by side. This occurs to approximately 5% of coffee plants.
